Start C&C and select Start a New Game. Choose GDI and you will begin the first level. The reason there are multiple misssion pairs for the same level (eg scg03ea and scg03eb) is so that when you have completed one level, it doesn't matter which arrow you click on on the geographical screen, you will get the next mission in this series. After you have completed level 5 of this package, you go back to the original missions. This set of missions is supposed to be played sequentially, not individually as there is actually a plot to the set of missions. You can play them individually, but I recommend that you play them through in order the first time. These levels were specifically designed around what you are able to build at the various levels (only in the fifth level will you be able to build vehicles, and then only APCs and Humm-vees). Don't play them at higher levels as this will ruin the game balance. ----------------------------------- | Cybernetics 'R Us (background) | ----------------------------------- GDI spies have reported to us that the Brotherhood is having significant success with its cybernetics program, and are beginning to build the first prototypes of their robot-controlled army. If the Brotherhood succeed in replacing their soldiers with robots and robot controlled vehicles, then the recent successes of GDI on the battlefield against the Brotherhood will have been for nothing. We cannot let them finish their research into robot controlled vehicles lest they gain a major advantage over us. ------------------------------------------- | Cybernetics 'R Us (level descriptions) | ------------------------------------------- Level 1. We have located their main research centre and are planning an insertion force to kill their scientists and destroy all their research capability. However,we must first disable the advance warning radar system that the Brotherhood have set up on an island so they are not warned in advance of our attack. Kill all the defenders so that they cannot report this attack. Level 2. We have landed a scouting squad, and they have reported that the Brotherhood has installed heavy air defenses around their research centre. You are to destroy these SAM sites so that we are able to provide you with air support for attacking the research centre. Only engage those enemies that get in your way, clearing the area of Brotherhood troops is not your main concern. Level 3. Two Brotherhood troops managed to survive the last attack and escape, and are heading back to base to warn of our infiltration. You must stop them before they reach their base otherwise we lose the benefit of surprise. They are reported to be wounded, so will have to stop for a rest every so often, but you must be quick, for they are very near their base. Most vehicles were out on patrol when this was reported, so you only have access to a damaged APC. Level 4. Your task force is now outside the research centre, but the Brotherhood have heard reports of our movement in this area, and have begun constructing defensive structures and bringing in new troops. We have been extremely lucky in that the Brotherhood's chief cyberneticists are still within the base perimeter. You are to kill these three civilian scientists, and destroy the two technology centres which house their research. We believe that this will put a permanent halt to the Brotherhood's cybernetics program. A local village was assaulted by the Brotherhood to get human subjects for their scientists to experiment on, so Command Central is restating your orders to make sure you completely understand: you are to kill the three scientists and destroy the technology centres at ANY cost. The prisoners must wait to be rescued at some other time. Level 5. In the debris of the technology centres, engineers have found disturbing news. Apparently, the Brotherhood were further ahead in their quest for robotic vehicles than we had though. From this report, it seems that the first prototype of their new command vehicle was created and testing had been started to gague its effectiveness. Scouts reported that the Base Commander fled the research centre before we could capture him, and managed to reach the prototype. We cannot let him escape with this vehicle, otherwise the attack on the research centre was for nothing. Our scientists predict that with the destruction of the command vehicle, all the robotic vehicles will self-destruct, a safety mechanism so they can't fall into our hands. Your target is the command vehicle. Destroy it at all costs. It is likely that not all of the new robot-controlled vehicles will operate correctly 100% of the time as they are still prototypes. ------------------ | Other Comments | ------------------ I haven't seen any bugs in my testing of these levels, although there are a few things that I wanted to implement but had to rest for second-best (such as getting a celltrigger to repeat properly). (the last level doesn't have any bugs in it as far as I can see - the various vehicles are supposed to act like that) If you played my other mini-campaign Amazon Assault, you will find these missions much easier. These are roughly at the level of difficulty of the original Westwood missions (IMO) - Amazon Assault was for those with too much time on their hands and nothing to do but play C&C :) I hope you enjoy this little mini-campaign. Feedback is welcome. If you decide to base a level on one of these maps, give credit where it is due. Claiming it as your own work is a really crappy thing to do.
